Delta announces New York-Buenos Aires service and offers introductory fare

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) has confirmed its plans to launch a new nonstop service between New York's John F Kennedy International Airport and Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The route will be introduced on 18 December 2008, subject to approval from the Argentine government. The flights will operate on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the return leg from Buenos Aires flying on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

An introductory fare of USD459 one-way, for travel between 5 January and 27 February 2009, is available for purchase between now and 1 July.

Delta also offers a daily service to Argentina from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
