Beatriz Chomnalez is a cuisine chef, private caterer, and cooking teacher, specialized in modern French cuisine; gastronomy style. Ms. Chomnalez leads her own cooking school, which opened in 1980. In April 2005, Gérard Dupont, president of the Académie Culinaire de France, announced the admission of Beatriz Chomnalez as a member thereof. Ms. Chomnalez also serves on the jury of the most representative national and international gastronomy events (El Gorro de Oro del Chef, Bocouse d’Or, Fourchette d’Or). She has taught History of French cuisine at the Escuela Superior de Hotelería (ESH), and a seminar La cocina de Francia de Francisco a Napoleón III, held in the Alianza Francesa in Buenos Aires. For over ten years, Ms. Chomnalez has worked as a consulting chef for the Caesar Park Buenos Aires. She also designs signature cuisine for the ice-cream chain Un Altra Volta, and has prepared the menu for the bar-restaurant El Trébol. Ms. Chomnalez travels constantly for study in order to perfect elaboration techniques and to stay abreast of the latest trends in gastronomy and pastry sous-cheffing. She has studied at some of the most prestigious schools in France and the United States including; Alain Ducasse (Le Jules Verne, Plaza Athénée, París; Le Louis XV, Mónaco; Dorchester, Londres); Bernard Loiseau (La Côte d’Or, Saulieu, Burgundy); Hélène Darroze (Les méres cuisiniéres de France); Alain Passard (L’Arpége, Paris); Dominique Bouchet (Dominique Bouchet, París); Gérard Mulot (Gérard Mulot, París); Daniel Boulud (Daniel, New York); and Jean-Georges Vongerichten (Jean-Georges, New York).
