Marcelo Pelleriti

Algodon Wine Estates, Senior Wine Advisor

Mr. Pelleriti, who serves as advisor to Algodon Wine Estates oenologists, recently received a 96-98 point rating for his Chateau La Violette - POMEROL, and a 95-98 point rating for his Chateau Le Gay - POMEROL from Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate.  He has also received a noteworthy number of ratings in the 90s for several of the wines he has served as Enologist for over the past few years.  Mr. Pelleriti currently serves as the General Manager and Enologist to Bodega y Viñedos Monteviejo S.A. in Mendoza, and also serves as Enologist to Chateau La Violette, Chateau Montviel, Chateau La Graviere, and Chateau Le Gay, all located in France.  He is associated with the production of the following wines from Argentina:  Lindaflor Malbec (94 point rating), Lindaflor Chardonay (91 point rating), Monteviejo (90 point rating), Petite Fleur (91 point rating), Clos de los siete, Festivo, Val de Flores, Mariflor Sauvignon blanc, Mariflor Pinot Noir, and Maties de Abril; and he is associated with the production of the following wines from France:  Chateau Le Gay - POMEROL (95-98 point rating), Chateau La Violette - POMEROL (92-94 point rating), Chateau Montviel - POMEROL, and Chateau La Graviere - LALANDE DE POMEROL.  Mr. Pelleriti's began his career as Production Supervisor, Quality Safety Coordinator (Implementation and follow-up of ISO 9000, HACCP, TPM quality norms) for Eco de los Andes.  He received post-graduate training in Strategic Planning in Viticulture from Juan Agustín Maza University in Mendoza, and also received his Bachelor in Enology and Fruit-Horticultural Industries from "Don Bosco" School of Enology, Juan Agustín Maza University.
