Orlan Boston

Orlan Boston, Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP, has over 10 years of consulting experience in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Human Capital practices. He focuses on helping organizations improve business performance through strategic, human, structural, business process, and technology changes.

His diverse background includes extensive Human Resources and Performance, Organizational Effectiveness, Change Leadership, Strategy and Operations, and Program Management consulting experience across a variety of industries as well as entrepreneurial startup experience within the Internet new media industry and Latin America region.

He is currently leading the Northeast region's Human Capital Mergers & Acquisitions practice. His other consulting areas of focus primarily lie in the areas of Human Resources Strategy and Process, Organizational Change and Transformation, Technology Adoption, Employee Relationship Management, Program Leadership, Outsourcing, Shared Services, and Merger Integration initiatives. His industry experience predominantly resides in health care (health plan/provider), life sciences and new media, along with additional experience in consumer, financial services, manufacturing, medical devices, high technology, telecommunications, insurance, public sector, and professional services.

In addition to his management consulting experience, he has had significant entrepreneurial experience, having started and led two new media technology companies targeting the Latin American markets, as well as real estate development in New York and Florida. As a former entrepreneur, Mr. Boston also advises early-stage companies in media and retail. Having spent a good portion of his life outside of the US in Spain and Italy, he has leveraged those experiences in and outside of his consulting career. Mr. Boston holds a BS degree in Finance and International Business from the NYU Stern School of Business.
